Coaching Flag Football Season 3 - Blog 10

I have never been more nervous about the playoffs as I am now. We are playing the Titans first, as faith has it the Cowboys will be waiting in the wings for us and the trash talking has never been higher between us coaches.
The Titans are coached my Mike Jenkins who is the founder of the league and my arch enemy coach parker is coaching the Cowboys (due to lack of coaches, our unholy marriage for the Spring season has been canceled). This is the most competitive league I've ever coached in and when the playoffs come around, that competition spirit magnifies as if this is the real NFL. That is what I love about this league!
Coach Jenkins and Parker have their own feud happening so the Titans will be out to make another meeting take place between them two. Parker likes his perfect record against me and wants to keep it that way. I want so badly to make it to the championships, anything less will not sit right with me.
Our 4-3 season does not reflect the team that we truly are, at the very least we should be a 6-1 team. We went from probably being the worst team in the league to being one of the top teams. In our first two game we lost 0 – 26 and 0 – 18 and the last loss we had was by one touchdown.
Our kids have worked real hard to get to the where they are right now. The coaching staff and I have worked hard and done all that we can to get the kids ready. We truly have poured all that we have into this team. And the parents are the greatest team parents that a man could ask for.
Our hard work needs to be rewarded by that championship. I'm not sure if my heart is willing to accept nothing else but a championship. The assistant coaching staff is expecting nothing less than a championship and I, just like Joe Namath have claimed it.
Despite who the coach of the Titans is we must win that first game. Despite the fact that I have never beaten coach Parker, the Cowboys must lose. This is competition at it's highest level, this is NFL flag football, and this is me saying until next time, see ya!
