Well it looks like another one in the History books. The 49ers won the last game of the season 18 – 8 which gives us an ending season record of 4 – 3. Ending with a winning season yet again! The Dolphins have a lot of great talent on their team and they could have made it a lot harder on us had they used the right combination of players on the field. During this game we set ourselves back more then they did.
I enjoyed watching this game because it gave me the opportunity to observe 3 future players that I will acquire in the spring. Yes: I said it. I will be back in the spring time! But this time it will be very different. I have agreed to an unholy alliance with my all time rival, coach Parker. This will make the spring season a very interesting season, and after reviewing the kids that he will bring to the table along with the kids I will bring to the table, terms such as undefeated season and championship is hard to ignore. But enough about the future, let us focus on the present!
From this point on our goal is to play 4 games. In order for us to get to that 4th game (the championship game) we cannot lose the next 3 games. I am very nervous about our wildcard game simply because we have yet to pass that mark. We should have beaten the steelers in my first season, and last season we simply broke down after a great first half. This season must be different! This season is different! Our team is different! Our stratigy is different! We must win and win it all!
I am strongly considering practicing 3 nights this week to make sure that we are well prepared. We know that we are playing the Titans first this weekend, but right now it's not clear if we play the Jets, the Broncos or Lions afterwards. Whoever we play we must be ready to win it all.
This Wednesday's practice will be cut short due to a coaches meeting and I think it's a conspiracy to distract us from practice! Okay I'm kidding, I don't really believe that. I'm just running off at the keyboard now.
We truly face an uphill battle from here on but I think our kids will step up to the challenge. I believe in them. Until next time, see ya!
