Today was a good day to play some football! Everything started off right. The sun was out, everyone showed up on time, we had the good refs in our game and I even had some money in my pockets! But it didn't end there. We won the game 25-6.
The Bills came to play some football today too and it was evident by how quickly they scored the first touch down of the game, but we countered with a quick touchdown of our own, then our defense stepped it up by shutting them down the rest of the game. Offense wise, it was clear that we need to improve but those kids did a great job for learning all new plays just this week. The night before after we scrimmaged the offense coordinator looked a bit worried because they simply looked sloppy, but they answered the call when it was time to play.
I thought that the new arrangement of me being over the other two coaches was gonna make my job easy, but I quickly realized that that was not the case at all. All week long I had to see everything that was happening on both offense and defense which leads me to coach both teams. It's tiring but I love it. During the games, me playing the part of the third eye on the field has shown it's advantages today.
The thing I loved the most about today's game was that there was very little mistakes made on both offense and defense. We still have a lot of work to do, but we are on the right track.
Next week we have a by which means we do not have a game, and the week after that is our last game of the season before we go into the playoffs. In case any of you were wondering we are going to the playoffs. We have a lot of work to do if we are to make it to the big dance and win it all. But so far all is good. Until next time, see ya.
