TIME FOR THE MAGIC TO MAN UP!!!

I've been a Magic fan since Shaq broke his first rim and have been a loyal fan since. I've supported the Magic through their ups of going to the finals through their downs when they only won 21 games, and although I believe that Billy Donovan is a spineless, wasteful excuse for a man for pulling what he did, I also believe that the Magic should take responsibility for this situation as well.
We just fired Brian Hill after coming back to the playoffs in about 3 years. Billy Donovan should have never been an option for this team. We are in a situation were we must win and a proven coach should have been the only thing that the Magic were looking for.
Donovan was a hopeful attempt for the Magic to have their cake and eat it too and it backfired in the worst possible way, but it would have backfired during the season anyway.
Donovan only played 44 games in the NBA. And no matter how much preperations he did in the summer he still would have had to go through a learning curve during this very important, must win season coming up.
By the end of today the Magic need to give up whatever it is they're fighting for with Donovan, give Pat Riley their first round pick for next year, offer Stan Van Gundy more money than the Kings did and promise SVG that he'll finish his contract.
If the Magic want hype then let it come from where it should have from the beginning, and that's the free agency pool and wise trades which can begin on July 1st.
Sooner or later the Magic will realize that winning games will solve all their proplems, that all these risks and chances they take is nothing but trash and only proven methods work in the NBA. Go Magic!!!

I agree but giving up a first round pick pf SVG is a waste. Don't get me wrong i like Stan but no way is he worth a first round pick. But may a second round this year,we got three. Eric Of thedead on 6/6/2007 3:56:11 PM
I think P.J could have been a better fit as the next Magic's head coach. He has been on a winning team with the Spurs and can bring that edge to the club. Lord of the Hoops on 6/7/2007 11:23:24 AM
