Brian Hill is out and Bob Hill wastes no time in contacting the Orlando Magic.
Bob Hill would bring an up tempo style of play that the Magic are looking for but what makes him more appealing is his connection to Rashard Lewis, who the Magic are considering trading for.
Maybe it just me, but if I was the Magic I’d continue looking for coaches. Bob Hill holds an all-time win-loss NBA coaching record of 257W-212L, not bad but not good enough. The Main thing that the Magic needs to look at is the win-lose record because that is more or less what they’ll get. The only newbie I would consider is Marc Iavaroni, assistant coach of the Suns only because the Suns has the most exciting offense in the league and he’s a part of the reason why.
For the most part the Magic need to foget about first time head coaches and focus on coaches with proven records. Here is a list of some of the availible experienced coaches and their win-lose records:
Mike Fratello 667W-545L
Paul Silas 355W-400L
Stan Van Gundy 112W-73L
Who do you think would be a good coach for the Magic?
I think the MAgic should get Larry Brown. Look at what he did for the Spurs and the Pistons.
