Hello folks and welcome to another addition of coaching flag football. Man that was a close game this past Saturday and although our team fought hard we lost in OT by one point.
I gotta give it to Parker; he has a pretty good team but if we see them in the playoffs, we値l beat them. We score once in the first half then they scored once in the second which sent us into over time. I think the whole game could have ended in a tie but for some reason during this one play my defense was waiting for the offense to come to the end zone. I値l accept this loss only because Parker didn稚 beat me as bad as he did last season, but mark my words; I値l get him next time. Next time, the student becomes the teacher!
Well, now that all the drama of the season is over I fully draw my attention to the playoffs and right now it looks like we値l be playing the Broncos in the first round. This week Practice will be totally different in order for us to prepare for the playoffs.
This week will be weird for a lot of reasons. Both of my assistant coaches will be out on business trips which leaves me to do both offense and defense for the first time ever. I知 sure that one of the other dads would step up to answer the call, but I figure that I値l be doing that sooner or later so why prolong the inevitable.
Well we are currently 3- 3, still a winning season and I want to end it as such. Once we get through this weeks practice we should be ready to win Saturday. As I told the parents in my last email; on our good day we can稚 be beaten. And the only way to get us there is to make sure we are well prepared. Until next time, see ya!
