Flag Football Preason pt. 2

Hi everyone and welcome to another blog of coaching flag football (The preseason).
The first practice has come and gone and let me tell you; I'm impressed. We have a group of great kids this season and I'm not just talking behavior wise either, I'm talking about the type of talent that makes it hard for me not to say stuff like 'We're gonna win every game' and 'we're the best team in the league'.
We have two kids that can really run, Most of the kids can catch a pass, and they all picked up on the things I was showing them. This team is good, real good.
What really impressed me the most was how excited everyone was about defense. These kids really understand the fact that if the other team doesn't score, they can't win. My only concern so far is that it seems we are limited on the QB position. Besides my star player from last season the only other kid that seems to have a decent arm is one who has never played the game before.
This Sat is our next practice and we'll be going over all our offensive plays, The new kid will be on the QB position most of the time. Hopefully it will be enough to get him prepered for our first game the following weekend.
Well so far so good folks and if the next practice goes as good the this last one, no team will stand a chance against the mighty Chiefs (there I go again). Until next time, see ya.
