Coaching Flag Football - Season 2

Hello everyone and welcome to another serise of coaching flag football. For this season I tried to come up with a catchier title like 'Flag Football: The Blood Wars' or Flag Football: 'The World is Not Enough', but none of that seemed to work out so we'll just stick to 'Flag Football, Season 2'.
I was looking forward to coaching this season, but I really didn't start getting excited until I saw the roster for the team this season and started communicating with parents via email. People at work saw me smiling from ear to ear as if I just the lottory or something, and I had to keep telling them 'It's flag football season!' and for some reason they start looking at me as if a tree is growing from my ears. Those fools will never understand the joys and challenges of coaching our stars of tomorrow.
With one season under my belt I come in with some experience and insight into our league. Last season I only had two goals which was to become the Don Shula of flag football and to have fun getting there (in that order). This season I have 3 goals and they are in this order; 1) To have fun, 2) To be the Don Shula of flag football, 3) To not lose to coach Parker.
Yes indeed: The rivalry will still be there. During the off season coach Parker spoke a lot noise and I learned that I'm not the only one in the league looking to take him down. I can't wait to play against him. This truly will be a fun season.
Well, the first practice will take place on Monday; hopefully, and just as I gave you the inside scoop of coaching last season this season will be no different. I'm still gonna do the reward system each week and will pretty much run the same plays for the most part. Hope you'll find this blog both entertianing and informative as I cover the whole season week by week. Till next time, see ya!
